2018 Mid term Elections and Beyond

It seems as though Christians and Christianity in general has been given a bit of a reprieve with this current administration, but that by no means gives the Christian community cause to just sit back and watch, we still need to be continuously aware and engaged.

There will never be a perfect government on earth until Jesus returns.  But, part of our job as ‘stewards’ is to try to affect our culture as much as possible for Jesus.  Legislation touches every American.  It affects our schools, and what is taught to our children.  If we elect Christian brothers and sisters with a Biblical worldview, the resulting legislation will reflect that and be honoring to Jesus.  If we elect non-Christians, we will get legislation that does not take Jesus or His Word into consideration.  We will have legislation that stands in start contrast to what the Bible says.  As Christians, how can we ask God to bless what contradicts His Own Word?

In order for Christians to make a difference politically, we must vote in every election, from the smallest local election all the way up to  Senate, House of Representatives and Presidential races. If Christians withdraw from the voting process, then how will any Christians be elected?

Voting is such a simple thing that can have such a profound impact, You CAN make a difference ! So please, may we be in prayer, and may we honor Jesus in every area of our lives, including voting.  It is a privilege that we have as Americans, because of those who have lived before us.  May we use it to honor our True King, Jesus.
Our votes are our voice to our representatives on the values we care most about.
